7. Video Inspiration

My curiosity with watch making has led me down the YouTube rabbit hole. Below are some videos that were interesting, educational and inspirational.

• This is a long video documentary on a couple of Swiss independent watch makers. The documentary seems pretty old, but is shot beautifully and goes into amazing detail about the watch making process.

• The next video is basically a factory tour of A. Lange & Sohne, a german luxury watch company whose aesthetic I really like. The craftsmanship that goes into their watches is both impressive and also somewhat ridiculous in terms of the amount of hand filleting and polishing they do for every component!

• This last video is a very short one. It is basically an interview with Hajime Asaoka, an independent Japanese watchmaker. In my exploration of the watch world so far, his aesthetic stands out and resonates with me the strongest.
